God Works All Things For The Good To Make Those Who Love Him More Like Jesus
The Holy Spirit intercedes for us so that we can become more like Jesus. The Spirit prays for us so that in all situations, Father God will continue to work it out so that we will become more like Jesus and give Him glory as the firstborn in the family of God.
Look at Colossians 1:13-18. Jesus is the firstborn from the dead and is above all! All glory goes to Him. And when we become like Him, all glory continues to go to Him! God changes us from glory to glory, from situation to situation, sanctifying us, making us holy, set apart from the world as His attributes are seen in us to give Him glory! Glory to God! God is working all things for the good for those who love God who are called according to His purpose to become conformed to the image of the Son. Wow! So that’s what it’s all about! When things work out for the good, the good means “that which conforms to the image of His Son.”

God has chosen us to be holy and blameless. God wants us to choose Him. He wants to love Him. He wants us to want Him. God enables us to come to Him. He sets the table. Then we have the choice to choose Him.
In 1 Corinthians 16, Paul is letting God guide him regarding coming to visit them in Corinth. He says, “5 But I will come to you after I go through Macedonia, for I am going through Macedonia; 6 and perhaps I will stay with you, or even spend the winter, so that you may send me on my way wherever I may go.
I feel most alive and useful when I am filled with God’s Spirit and being used as He intended.
We need to continue to be Bereans, reading the Bible to make sure we are following biblical teachers so we aren’t let astray. We are the church.
In 1 Corinthians 1:10, Paul is exhorting the church in Corinth, which had divided into rival factions, to be of one mind and judgment or affection.
People leave all kinds of legacies. “Leaving a legacy means giving something that will be valued and treasured by those who survive after your death.
We see how God is working to save us and move us to serve in our giftings in Acts 17:26, Ephesians 2:10, and Philippians 2:13.
It’s important to be unified as a church. After all, we are called to be ministers of reconciliation.
